“…then we’re told why don’t you go work at Burger King or McDonald’s…” Incredible, but that’s exactly what I remember reading in a case study back in one of my college psychology classes. It was disturbing to me that the authors suggested such employment for their patient and were seemingly self-congratulatory that they had found a place for him, though he was obviously someone who was quite gifted.
